PredictLand designs a solution to optimize sales for Grupo Editorial Edelvives, through a recommendation system that analyzes purchasing behavior and customer profiles.

Challenge
Edelvives wanted to have a more efficient sales force and, to this end, it proposed a 360° analysis of its customers in order to:
- To know them better, as well as their buying behavior, both for prescription and direct sales.
- To be able to anticipate to each salesperson which product is the most likely to be successful in each visit.
- Know in advance which schools are most likely to sell their new texts.
Solution
The challenge is addressed with the design of an Artificial Intelligence solution that is capable of segmenting customers by multiple characteristics, both internal and public data.
The solution is to make a recommendation of which products have a higher probability of success for a given customer; and a recommendation of which customers have a higher probability of success for a given product.
The solution is able to recommend both products with sales history and new products. With this development, a better knowledge of customers and their buying behavior is obtained, so that sales processes are more efficient, and a percentage of probability of purchase of certain products is available to help determine the visits of the sales network.
