Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of hydraulic and pneumatic components, belonging to an international conglomerate of companies with a turnover of more than 1,200 million Euros in 2022. It is the leading distributor of industrial material in Spain.
Challenge
Due to the nature of your products, it is key how you proceed with the packaging before shipping and sending them to the customer. In fact, since in many cases the products are bulky and heavy, the amount of the shipment can affect the sale of the product and the profitability of the operation. Our customer wants to be able to anticipate the required packaging and provide the cost of transportation immediately at the time of purchase.
Solution
PredictLand develops an Artificial Intelligence system for the prediction of the packaging required for each order based on the characteristics of the items, increasing the accuracy of the estimation of the packaging required for the shipment to over 87% for 95% of the orders.
