Customer
Podoactiva is a biotechnology-based company specialized in podiatry and biomechanics. It manufactures customized insoles, being a national and international reference. It has podiatric clinics, hospital units and presence in 10 countries. Among its clients are the Spanish soccer team and Real Madrid. It has been present at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Challenge
Custom insoles are manufactured from a series of components that can have up to 6,000 possible combinations to produce the final insole. In addition to this complexity, more than 5,000 variables related to patient information and company processes must be considered in the custom manufacturing process. Podoactiva is interested in a solution that allows it to address this manufacturing complexity, and improve its competitiveness and services significantly.
Solution
Development of an Artificial Intelligence solution for sales forecasting to optimize manufacturing processes and the level of service offered to the end customer.
Development of an Artificial Intelligence solution that makes a recommendation of the optimal elements and components to include in each of the customized templates.
Patient, manufacturing and sales data, among others, were considered.
Result
A solution that provides podiatry clinics with an optimal solution proposal of the elements and components to be included in each customized insole.
Optimization of shipments, through the relationship between the parameters of delivery date, shipment and production capacity.
The end customer receives accurate information about the time of delivery, based on information about the production capacity of the line. Reduction of logistics costs and number of shipments of templates to clinics and improvement of service levels to clinics and patients.
