Following the case of ‘deepfakes’ in Almendralejo, Antena 3 has interviewed our Director of Operations, Andrés Visús, to analyze the fake images of minors created with Artificial Intelligence, which were disseminated and generated national alarm.
Deepfakes, fake videos and photos generated by AI, have raised concerns about privacy and online security. Andrés Visús, as an expert in Artificial Intelligence, explains that these contents are created by Deep Learning algorithms that learn from real images. He points out that, although the technology is good and brings great solutions to society, the use in this case is illicit; the European Union has taken measures in this regard, requiring labels to identify AI-generated images.
According to Andrés, social awareness and regulation are essential to address this growing problem.
“The more images you have, the better the AI algorithms learn. That’s why it’s much easier for us to deepfake a famous person, than an anonymous person.”
Andrés Visús, Chief Operating Officer of PredictLand
